How can I impove my production(nrf52832) BLE performance?

Hello

My production ble performance is lower then nrf52DK.

How can I impove ble performance?

And I think there are two ways.

1. redesign PCB antenna (currently this way is worst)
2. use chip antenna (2450BM14E003)

Environment

- antenna schematic

- antenna size : 17mm * 9mm

Test Case

1. Place our product and nrf52DK board on the car dashboard

- description : left our production, right is nrf52DK

2. Measure RSSI from behind the trunk of the car


- description : test with this car

Test Result
- our prduct : average -80dBm
- nrf52DK : average -70dBm

Hello Choi,

Your schematic shows only the matching network for RF, you do not have any matching network for antenna. And Vss pin is also not properly grounded. 

you can look at our schematic design how VSS pin is grounded. It is grounded through capacitor C3. 

I think the performance is not optimal due to the pcb design. You need to tune the antenna for best performance.  Here we only can see the length and width of the antenna but do no know the trace width and copper thicknesses. There is also a led near antenna it is not ideal.

So, you may re-look the design from this point of view.
