nrf52840 on the CDEBYTE E73-2G4M08S1C is not connecting after 5-6 meters...

Hello everyone,

I am using the nrf52840 on the CDEBYTE E73-2G4M08S1C nRF52840 BLE 5.0 Wireless Transceiver.

There are two device. One of them central, one of them peripheral. We have a problem about distance.

Unfortunately, the two devices cannot communicate with each other after 5-6 meters.

In datasheet, It is written in the user manual that it can communicate up to 120 meters.

There is also a mc-60 gsm module in our circuit.Would it be a problem if these two work together?

By the way we set that txpower is 8 dbm.

We changed some sermaic antennas but we didn't make any progress.

I hope you can help me or give me some hints how to proceed.if any schematic or photos or code blocks is needed, i can share them.

I suggest to use two nRF52840-DK for comparison, but range will depend a lot of factors such as line of sight, interference, reflections, orientation, configuration (rf phy) etc, so it will not be able to do 120m under all situations. Normally I would say 10-20m, so 5-6m was a bit short. I would recommend try a nRF52840-DK for comparison, and if that perform better, then contact the module manufacturer so they can help you with placement of the module for best performance.
