Maximum Frequency of nRF52 Radio

If I wan to use the nRF52 as a Radio and not support any protocols.

I am looking to use this as a base band waveform processor and transverting down below 1Ghz.

  What is the Maximum Radio Frequency i can set?

The Datasheet implies 2500Mhz

Is this the max?  is there a way to go higher?

Do i just right directly to the Radio Registers to configure?

Hi,

 

The frequencies you can set on the radio is listed in the register definition that you posted. It cannot go outside of these boundaries.

do you know what happens if you place 127 in the Frequency Filed?

there are 7 bits in that field.

will it give an error or just hit 2500 and stop

That would be an out-of-bounds write and thus a illegal operation.
