Add characteristic to NUS - NRF CONNECT 1.9 with Visual Studio

We already made working code with NRF5 SDK. It has added three characteristics to send data via UART from a MCU. Each characteristics for separate purposes, for eg. Characteristics1 for Sensor data, Characteristics2 for alert data  and like that.

We are using the example: peripheral_uart with nrf52dk_nrf52832 Board

Now we are planning to update the NRF5 SDK to NRF CONNECT SDK 1.9 with Visual studio. Here all are different way of approach with Zephyr with RTOS.

Could you share me document which has step by step approach to add, characteristics for NUS.

The closesest we can get to a complete guide is the nRF Connect SDK Bluetooth Low Energy tutorial part 1: Custom Service in Peripheral role. It will show you how custom service is created in Zephyr and NCS. It's a bit outdated, but the code show be fairly on-point.
