DFU over UART

Hi,

I'm using nRF Connect SDK 1.7.1 with nRF52833dk.

I'd like to implement DFU over UART.

I see a number of examples to achieve this with SDK5, but not with nRF Connect SDK.

Can you please point me where I can find information on this?

What needs to be configured on the nRF side, what software / libraries exists for the host side (to initiate the DFU)?

Here are two different solutions for DFU over UART:

SMP Server:
See the SMP Server Sample.

Serial Recovery:
Our nRF Desktop Application use this for some boards.
But if you want a smaller example for this, you could have a look at my unofficial MCUBoot Serial Recovery Sample.

I understand that both options require MCUboot.
Is there an option that works with nRF Secure Immutable Bootloader?
We want to try to preserve flash space and drop MCUboot for nRF Secure Immutable Bootloader.

We have no finished solutions for uploading firmware images for the nRF Secure Immutable Bootloader without using MCUBoot.
