We are working with tuning of the GPS:
Basically the tuning is fine but we are mostly bandwidth limited.
I wanted to ask how much is the acceptable bandwidth for a GPS signal. Would 20MHz be fine or do we need more?

Hi,
Apologies for the delay in response. The office has been closed due to the recent holidays.
According to the product specification for nRF9160, the nRF9160 supports GPS L1 C/A band, which has a bandwidth of 24 MHz. However, due to the signal design a bandwidth of 9.66 MHz will capture enough data to allow the receiver under test to acquire it, track and navigate.
In other words: 20MHz will be fine, but you should get away with using a minimum of 9.66MHz bandwidth for this specific GPS band at least in testing.
Let me know if this answers your question!
Kind regards,
Andreas
Thanks a lot.
Regards
