Alternatives to VS Code or Segger on Apple Silicon?

Imagine my disappointment when I discovered today that Apple Silicon (M1) Macs are not supported by nRF Connect (without the painful step of using the Intel build of VS Code).

Is there any alternative? Can I do a strict command-line build of code (e.g. using `make`)?

And of course, for Nordic: When can we expect an Apple Silicon-compatible build of the tools?

Hello, 

There is continuing work on improving the support for Apple Silicon Macs (M1). I have forwarded you question on when to expect an Apple Silicon-compatible build to our developers. 

Is there any alternative? Can I do a strict command-line build of code (e.g. using `make`)?

There is the official command line tool West, Zephyr's meta tool. Please see building on the command line.
