I've been having good success with the 52840 and been slowly migrating a lot of my projects to the chip. While I await modules to arrive from a supplier I purchased an NRF52840 Feather Express in order to quickly do a test project with size limitations, hence not using the 52840DK directly for the test.
While I can enter the UF2 mode by double clicking the reset button on the Feather Express, I can't get the SWD connection to work using the Debug out of the NRF52840DK. Nothing appears on the nRF connect programmer application, nor does anything appear in nrfjprog command line application. I have tested the NRF52840 Feather Express using a UF2 file and it seems to be fine, but SWD (Jlink) refuses to work. Unfortunately, I am still awaiting my new debugger and all I have is the DK at the moment to do programming.
Is there some prerequisite in order to flash using the 52840DK? Attached below is my connection setup and the NRFjprog output. I'd like to note in the photo it shows I'm using USB as the power source but I've tried all three options, and I haven't had any luck at all.
