It is written in the datasheet that if i try to receive bytes more than the number i put in the maxrx register "incoming bytes will be discarded" does that mean all the bytes will be discarded ? Or just the ones after the number of bytes written in maxrx register ?

Hi,

Only the incoming bytes after the buffer have been filled with RXD.MAXCNT bytes will be discarded, the first received RXD.MAXCNT bytes will be available in the buffer.
