BLE Mesh sensor example on nrf5340 DK

Hello,

I have a NRF5340 DK and I am looking for an BLE Mesh Sensor example like the ones for nrf52 (https://developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF_Connect_SDK/doc/latest/nrf/samples/bluetooth/mesh/sensor_client/README.html#bluetooth-mesh-sensor-observer , https://developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF_Connect_SDK/doc/latest/nrf/samples/bluetooth/mesh/sensor_server/README.html#bluetooth-mesh-sensor ).

I know that the nrf5340 has a temperature sensor on board on the network core. Is there a way to adress this sensor and use the code of the example? Or any other suggestions for nrf5340?

Hi Jennifer, 

You are right. The temperature sensor on the nRF53 is located in network core domain. There isn't a simple way to access the temperature sensor from the application core. 
However it's possible. What you need to do is to write the code in the netcore , in your case by modifying hci_rpmsg, to read the temperature and put it to a shared RAM location. Then in your mesh application read the value at the shared RAM.
