Thingy:91 and Power Profiler Kit II

Hello, I would like to know if the Power Profiler Kit II could be used to measure current consumption on the Thingy:91 ? 

In the Thingy:91 documentation, it is suggested to cut the short on SB3 and place an ampere meter between the terminals (P1). Could the Power Profiler Kit II (in ampere meter mode) replace the regular ampere meter between the terminals ?

Yes, I can confirm your assumption is correct. It is similar to the nRF9160DK current measurement.

Thanks for the quick response!

So, here’s how I plan to connect the PPK II with the Thingy:91.  

The only thing I’m not sure is if the IN/OUT (P1) PCB correspond directly to pin 2/1 (P1) of the schematic or they are crossed ?

Hi Bernard,

P1 pin1 is marked with OUT and P1 pin2 is marked with IN according to the schematic, so they are not crossed.

If you are not sure, just do a measurement after cutting SB3.
