How to use external SPI flash in FOTA with NRF91 on NCS1.7.0

Hi Devzone

Currently for my customer request , they would like use the nrf91 on their wearable.

They would like to do NRF91 FOTA with the external flash SPI w25q128jv

I do the test on example \http_update\application_update, and it always report error like below

Below it is my project, if you try it you will see the same issue

i also do the same test on NRF52840, but there is no any issue on it.

Hi,

 

There's a white-space in the "spm:" section of your pm_static.yml, but it also has several other issues wrt. partitioning, and it seems that you have defined a 16MByte flash in the overlay, and defined it as 8MB in the partition layout.

There's a link to a modified http_update project there with mcuboot secondary slot on external flash.

 

I do not have your exact spi flash to test against, but I tried to help you along the way by modifying the configuration/partition layout here:
