nRFconnect and jlink 7.64d upgraded and now nrfconnect and jlink unuseable

Hi All

I have been successfully using a jlink flasher for quite a few years now  but after upgrading the segger drivers as i have always done ever couple of months i now have a problem

the first thing i noticed is that the programmer didn't show up in NRFConnect programmer ( drivers checked and its "J-Link Driver" )

nRFconnect displays this at the bottom of the screen
14:25:51.050
Using nrf-device-lib-js version: 0.4.5
14:25:51.050
Using nrf-device-lib version: 0.11.0
14:25:51.050
Using nrfjprog DLL version: 10.15.1
14:25:51.050
Using JLink version: JLink_V7.58b
but Segger has upgraded the firmware on the segger flasher to 7.64d and I cannot downgrade the software back to one that i know works... i have done a couple of the revert command but that didn't work either
So i think if i can find a way to get the programmer to revert??

or some other secret squirrel command lol
