Ble uuid for string characteristic

Rookie question.

Finally I put my ble working passing a number thanks to the support from this forum. But now my problem is how to send a string with around 100 characters.

It got to be via ble because it's will do it with random long time intervals and I want to save battery.

Is it necessary to do it via ble UART? Or there's a service with a characteristic messages. Smartwatchs get long texts over notifications but I cannot find how they do it

Hello,

The Nordic UART service (see UART/Serial Port Emulation over BLE) can be a good starting point if you want to create your own service. You can import the nus.c/.h files to your project, change the naming of the functions and UUIDs.

The max. size of the notification you can send from the TX Characteristic is determined by the ATT_MTU size (default 247 - 3 bytes)
