Does the ppk2 average the high sampling rate when using its low sampling rate?

Hello again,

I am trying to use the nordic PPK2 to estimate the battery capacity I would need. I would like to measure for a longer time in order to spot any strange behavior over time. For that I would need to lower the sampling rate, but this way, I am afraid I will miss short power spikes potentially throwing off my measurements.

My question is, does the ppk2 average the high sampling rate when using its low sampling rate or does it actually use the lower sampling rate?

Thank you for any help Slight smile

  • Hi

The PPK2 will filter the signal based on the sampling frequency, so there should not be any significant change in the average measurement when lowering the sampling rate.

Even at the fastest sampling rate there could be power spikes that occur too fast to be accurately recorded, and a certain level of averaging occurs at all sample rates.

    Best regards
