"Unable to parse JSON String" Fresh install trying to open nrf connect

Seems like this issue has been happening to people for a long time. 

I'm on V1.91, Mac, trying to open in Segger embedded studio. Fresh install, select open nrf connect project from the menu, and I get the error:

Clicking okay, and the menu behind it is basically non-responsive.

I've looked at a lot of other Q&A.

Shortened the file path? I'm installing the sdk to the default: /opt/nordic/ncs
Is there something else I could do here?

Added registry records? Is there an equivalent setting somewhere on Mac I can delete?

Have you also downloaded SDK V2.0.0 ?

If so remove it.

Hi !

This is still not fixed.

Instead of uninstall, you can also just rename the folder

Example : \ncs\v2.1.0 -> \ncs\v2.1.0_TMP and it works again.
