nRF Connect for Desktop doesn't show anything

I followed the document and downloaded nRF Connect for Desktop in Ubuntu 18.04.5.

Then I changed the permission of nrfconnect-3.11.1-x86_64.appimage to "allow executing files as program", and tried to run it.

But nRF Connect for Desktop didn't show anything as the picture shows above.

How can I fix this?

“We have concluded that we don't support Ubuntu 18.04 LTS any more. 

We did try looking into the issue a bit due to the error specifying a missing library version. It would seem that installing it manually is either difficult and/or potentially disrupting to the OS.” 

You need to upgrade your distribution to make v3.11.1 work.

Hi Guys, 

The solution to upgrade the OS is a rather nuclear option in some situations. This is made all the more of an issue given that running v3.11.0 as a workaround no longer works as v3.11.0 downloads the latest version of each app and these latest versions are now incompatible with v3.11.0.
