nRF9160 Non-volatile Data Storage

I am new to the 9160 and will be developing application software in the near future. I am currently planning out how required information will be stored.

Is there a storage area in the 9160 where I can store configuration data, calibration data and IP addresses? I know the 9160 has1 MB of flash but I do not know if I can store values in the flash or if it is strictly for application and modem code.

Referring to the NVMC — Non-volatile memory controller chapter in the nRF9160 Product Specification. 

The general answer is yes, you basically can store any data in the flash.
