Unexpected end of JSON Input Error after installing nRFConnect for Desktop

Hello

I tried to install nRFConnect for Desktop, the latest version When I try to launch Toolchain Manager, I get an error "Unexpected end of JSON Input" error message. I am using windows 10 and also I tried the old version but didn't accept installing it.

Hi,

Did you install the nRF Connect SDK from our official website? Have you tried updating the nRF Connect for Desktop to the latest version?

Also, could you upload the json file found in C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\nrfconnect\pc-nrfconnect-toolchain-manager.json here?

Thank you for your reply and kindly note that I have set up it from the official website kindly find here the files available in the attached screenshot. the file you mentioned is a folder containing an empty log.

Could you maybe try creating a json file in the path earlier mentioned, with the same name, with the following contents?

	"isFirstInstall": false,
	"currentPane": 0,
	"installDir": "C:\\NCS",
	"showVsCodeDialogDuringInstall": false,
	"hideOlderEnvironments": false
}

This is what is in my file on my computer, but you should replace your path instead in the "installDir".

Hi Priyanka,

The NCS didn't appear due to the toolchain wasn't set up due to this issue. and I put the JSON file was data you shared but didn't open toolchain for setup.

I am sorry, but I did not quite understand. In the code, I have the path in C:\\NCS ,but you should replace it with whatever your path is. Could you maybe share your folder location? It should look something like this:
