both the connectable coded phy and legacy advertising

Hi All!)

I am using nrf52833/20 Dk and am able to connect the two devices using coded PHY connectable mode by the available examples (BLE_App_Uart and BLE_App_Uart_C). My question is it possible to send the legacy advertisement packets in non-connectable mode (for backward compatibility) along with the Connectable coded PHY advertising. please guide thank you in advance for the help!

Hi Muhammad,

It is not possible to do this.. Extended advertising is required if you are going to scan with Coded PHY.

Thank you for your response! I was reading somewhere that, you can multiplex the coded phy and legacy advertising by changing the configuration. In simple words, if central is not available to connect then use BLE legacy advertising by changing the configuration to send the non-connectable legacy packets. Can you help me in this regard is that possible or not?

Coded PHY requires Extended advertising as far as I know.. Where did you read the article.? Could you share it here.?
