MCP is stalling now and then

I think the new MCP might have a bug somewhere. I have not been able to find out the exact sequence on how to provoke it, but I have to restart the application more often than I used to, and it's not good enough to just reset anymore. It seems like a disconnection is happening somewhere, as the cursor just spins for long periods.

You should also update the "Attribute value" pane when moving from node to node inside the "Service Discovery" tree - using the keyboard. The handles and values are only updating in response to mouse clicks, so if you highlight another node in the tree with the keyboard, you would assume that you are reading and writing the values of that, and not the last clicked (well, I would :-) .

  • The latter is most definitely a bug, so I've reported it internally so that it can be fixed in a future version.

Unfortunately, I can't say I've noticed anything like what you suggest in your first part. Have you managed to find any more consistent way of making this fail?

You could anyway try to make sure that your Segger tools are the latest version, and potentially manually update the Windows driver and firmware of the dongle, to see if that improves anything. I know there have been some fixes to the UART CDC of the Segger chip, although I didn't think there had been any major fixes lately.
