nrfconnect-3.11.1-x86_64.appimage in Ubuntu 18.04 no Apps

While nrfconnect-3.11.0-x86_64.appimage works well, the update to 3.11.1 ends up without Apps.

Ubuntu 18.04

NCS 1.9.1

I found a past case  nRF Connect v3.3.1 appimage in Ubuntu 18.04 no Apps and removed the config and cache, but as in that case, it didn't help.

(Just to mention:

https://www.nordicsemi.com/Products/Development-tools/nRF-Connect-for-desktop/Download#infotabs

selecting linux shows the version 3.11.0 two times in the Changelog.)

  • As i wrote, remove support for an OS version in a bugfix release (last part of the version number) is not what I would expect. If "semantic versioning" isn't applied, it's hard to update, if that requires to verify the requirements for each and every update. Especially with such precise information as "latest LTS" :-).

If you bring this up internally, maybe you can add also to document the required jlink software version? I think it's now a couple of years ago, that I requested that the first time. It's really very silly, that someone needs to install it on windows to see, which segger jlink software version should be used.
