Sample direction_finding_connectionless_rx (nRF Connect) not working, can't find periodic advertising

Hello, 

A couple of days ago I run the examples direction_finding_connectionless_rx and tx on two nRF52833dk successfully, meaning that I could see the CTE info received by the rx example. Today I tried replicating the same thing with no success. I am flashing the original samples provided with no changes and  even though I am getting a lot of data about all the advertising devices, there is no attempt to synchronize with periodic advertisers (even though the interval is non-zero as seen on the screenshot). Any ideas why it could have stopped working?

Hi,

Did you make sure to erase the devices first before reprograming ?

Have you moved to a location where there is lots of interference?

Is there anything else that you have done that differs from the first time you tried?

Thank you for your suggestions. I did try again after erasing the devices and it didn't make a difference.

I also haven't moved to a different location since the last time I tried.

And I am pretty sure I am following the same procedure as before.

I tested again the two examples outside with less BLE devices around and they were able to synchronize. Is that a common issue, and is there any way around it?

Yes and no, nice to see that it works again.


So what example are you running Zephyr or NCS and which version? 

Do you have an antenna array to test with ?

Could you provide a longer log, can upload as a text file.
