Dev Kit MCU in bootloader mode

Hi,

I have a PCA10095 and a PCA10040 where they are connected via USB to PC and are not being seen.

In both cases the LED next to the interface MCU is flashing rapidly; does this ean the interface MCU itself is sitting in bootloader mode?

I have a Jlink connected to another custom board working AOK.

How can I get the dev cards to exit bootloader and start behaving like a segger OB again?
Is it possible to reflash the interface MCU?

(Possibly a red herring; my PC was updated to win 11 last night; but it was quite a while ago I actaully used these dev cards)

Kind Regards,
Owain

If the LED5 (interface MCU LED) is just flashing repeatedly it generally means that the Interface MCU is trying to connect to the computer. If it's going on "forever" that could mean the USB cables you're using are power cables only, and are not able to transceive data between the DK and computer. Have you tried with other cables?

If you indeed have put the Interface MCU into bootloader mode, you should still see the device popping up as a bootloader in your computer. You can also put it into bootloader "manually" by holding down the IF BOOT/RESET button while powering the board. From there you can drag and drop the Interface MCU firmware .bin file (downloadable here) to the nRF52 DK. This is not the case for the PCA10095, as it uses a different interface MCU though. Read the DK user guide for more info.
