changing target device

is there a way to change the target device to nRF52820 (PCA10100) in segger embedded studio? initially configured to nRF52832 when we started our setup (nRF Connect Desktop and Tool Chain Manger).

the pca10100.h is currently grayed out in the boards.h and pca10040.h for nRF52832 is included 

plan to use nRF52832 chip but one of our sample board is using nRF52820 and we would also like to test it

Which SDK did you use? The nRF5 SDK or the nRF Connect SDK?

i use nRF Connect SDK from Toolchain Manager to open Segger Embedded Studio and using the examples from nRF5 SDK 17.1

I guess that is the problem. The nRF Connect SDK and nRF5 SDK are two separate SDKs. We are slowly migrating towards the nRF Connect SDK and the nRF Connect for Desktop is built for nRF Connect SDK support. So if you open the SES through the Toolchain Manager in nRF Connect for Desktop, the environment variables, libraries etc will be set for using this SDK. 

So this will not work for the nRF5 SDK. If you wish to open a project with the nRF5 SDK, you should open it with the SES separately.
