Read out chip version by command

Dear Support team,

in 2 different projects I am using the nRF52840-CKAA-D and nRF52840-CKAA-F.

I would like to read out the chip version by command and am trying to compare the shipment documents to the nordic documentation.
Our package code of the nRF52840-CKAA-F states: nRF52840-CKAA-F-R7;NOR.

  • nRF52840: Chip type
  • CK: package variant code.
  • Function Variant Code
    • The function variant codes are AA (access port protection controlled by hardware) and AA-F (Access port protection controlled by hardware and software).
      1) Which  function variant code do we have?
      2) Would the AA-F variant result in: nRF52840-CKAA-F-F?
  • Which build code do we have (<H><P><F>)?
  • What does the NOR stand for? Could it be non-volatile memory?

Best regards,
Konstantin

  • Hi,

Which  function variant code do we have?

    AA-F

Which build code do we have (<H><P><F>)?

F, and since there is no pre-programmed firmware on it, there is 00. So, F00.

What does the NOR stand for?

It could be Norway or Nordic. But the blue label that you shared does not look like one of the labels that we have seen. Where did you order the product from? Which distributor did you buy this from?

Please refer the Ordering Information for further details.

    Best Regards,

    Priyanka
