TLS 1.3 on nrf9160

The latest versions of MbedTLS seem to have some level of support for TLS 1.3 that the nRF Connect library's MbedTLS version lacks. How can I use a newer version of MbedTLS to get TLS 1.3 support without breaking the already existing APIs?

There is a holiday season now so staffing is low, pardon the inconvenience if the response time is slow. 

No expert at TLS or MbedTLS but looking at similar topics on Devzone it seems like it might be possible to use TLS1.3 to some extent from this ticket here on Devzone: (+) TLS 1.3 SSL - Nordic Q&A - Nordic DevZone - Nordic DevZone (nordicsemi.com) 

You could also follow this : Mbed TLS - Trusted Firmware 

And SLM is implemented with native TLS, so you can look at that also.
