Can't open terminal/command

HI ,

I'm trying to open terminal/command SDK v2.0.0 from toolchain manager (working with nrf connect for desktop v3.11.1) but it doesn't open.

while on SDK v1.9.1 it works good :

That is odd.

Does the NCS v2 SDK otherwise work alright? Are you able build a sample on VSC using it? Did you install NCS v2 using the automatic installation from the Toolchain Manager?

Yes , I installed the NCS v2 from the toolchain manager. 

I can't build a sample on VSC. This is what I get when trying to change the path from v1.9.1

That is no problem, it is supposed to be like that in NCS 2. The folder is outside the NCS folder, though can you check that it is still there? As you have NCS directly on your C drive maybe its been moved by mistake?

And can you make sure that your VSC extensions are up to date? A similar issue should be addressed in a version from 15/7.

What if you open VSC from NCS 2 in the Toolchain Manager? What happens when you from VSC press ctrl+shift+p, and then "select nRF Connect Toolchain"?

Hi Elfving,

Now ,  I'm able to build samples or application under SDK v2.0.0 with different DK's without any issue. 

But still the same issue , can't open both cmd & bash

I see.

Could you press "Open toolchain directory" in the drop down menu there, and see if you can find git-bash.exe and git-cmd.cmd in that folder?

I believe you ment git-cmd.exe . The answer is yes , the .exe files are available

I would tell you to try starting the .exe files from there and see if they work, but either way could you also try reinstalling NCS v2?
