Difference in SW for nrf51824 and nrf51822

Hi all,

I am about to purchase NRF51-DK Nordic Semiconductor ASA | Development Boards, Kits, Programmers | DigiKey but this says for nRF51422, nRF51822 series Transceiver;

I am not sure if nrf51824 works on this?

If yes then where in project settings we need to specify this change (I know segger doesnt directly support nrf51 series so I am following the guide from here Segger Embedded Studio support for NRF5_SDK_12_3_0_d7732ad (This is not a question.) - Nordic Q&A - Nordic DevZone - Nordic DevZone (nordicsemi.com))

Please help me out with this

Not sure which configuration you are referring to here. Can you elaborate or point to where this configuration is set?

You should be able to use the nRF51822_xxAA target.

The "nrf51422_xxac" in Build configuration is just the name of the configuration. As long as the other settings are correct for your chip variant, the name does not matter. ANT support is main difference between nRF51422 and nRF51822/nRF51824, and flash/RAM size is main difference between xxac and xxaa. Flash and RAM sizes are modified according to previously linked Adjustment of RAM and Flash memory tutorial.

For debugger target, you can use nrf51822_xxaa target.
