nRF-PPK2 develops considerable lag

I'm using the nRF-PPK2 to measure device power usage. I've noticed even at low sampling frequencies (>= 100Hz) it exhibits considerable lag at some point. Most annoyingly, there seems to be a buffering issue, either on the side of the hardware or software, that means I can't actually start and stop the device to reset it, I have to disconnect the device in the profiler software and reconnect, which is cumbersome because I'm using it in source mode and I want to keep the DUT powered (when disconnected the power source turns off). This seems to be more of an issue either if higher rates are used, the data is more dynamic, or a larger window is used, so I suspect it might be a problem with the plot rendering in data logger mode.

Is there any fix for this? Has anyone else seen this issue?
