SoftDevice Controller in Zephyr examples

Hi, 

Nordic nRF Connect SDK includes also the Zephyr repository with a number of examples. 
I am interested in the HCI UART example in Zephyr, and I want to open from Nordic toolchain.

My questions:

1) which controller is default in the Zephyr repository on their Bluetooth Examples?

2) how do I enable SD controller on the Zephyr examples?

3) where is it documented? https://developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF_Connect_SDK/doc/latest/nrf/ug_ble_controller.html 
here we say what happens (which controller is default) on the nRF examples, but not what is happening in the Zephyr examples. 

4) where can I find list of HCI commands for SD controller?

5) where can I find list of all features supported by the SD controller? e.g. Periodic Adv, CTE, etc
