preprogram custom image for production run

Hello everyone,

I have built a product with the nRF52840 that is ready to be manufactured. Connect JTAG/SWD and upload image to each board seems grossly inefficient.  Is there a way to preprogram a custom image (booloader + DFU + soft device + custom application) to the nRF52840 before it is mounted to the circuit board?

Summarized:

You have two options when programming for production:

1) In-system programming (ISP): ISP is used when programming is needed after the assembly of the final PCB. Here we recommend using a SEGGER Production Programmer.

2) Socket programming: Socket programming is used when the SoC is pre-programmed before it's mounted on a PCB. Here we recommend using a production programmer from either Elnec or Hi-Lo systems.
