Bootloader for 5340

Hi,

We are looking at how we software upgrade the device during its lifetime and assume that a bootloader will be required on the AP and the NP to allow us to load a new main image for the device.

We also need to load code onto the device during production which would again require a bootloader to load the production image on the AP and NP cores.

We have two questions:

  1. Do you have bootloaders for the 5340 AP and NP cores that we can use or modify?
  2. In production how would we get a bootloader onto the 5340 AP and NP cores - is there some way of downloading them without using the JPEG interface?

  • Thanks Simon,

In production i would expect the chips to have no boot loader when the board is built unless you provide one built into the device as some other manufacturers do.

As far as i understand you don't have a bootloader built into the silicon at manufacture so would we be expected to load a bootloader or the bootloader and production firmware o th eproduction line via a JLink?

    Many thanks
