NRF52833 DCDC OUPUT CURRENT

WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM  OUTPUT CURRENT OF DCDC IN NRF52833 OUTPUT IN HIGH VOLTAGE AND NORMAL VOLTAGE MODE?

I AM POWERING UP TWO SENSORS WITH IT THAT USES CURRENT IN MICRO AMPS .

I AM NOT USING ANY EXTERNAL LDO FOR MY CIRCUIT I AM USING ONLY INTERNAL DCDC OF THE NRF52833 .

Hi,

External supply is not supported by the nRF52833. However, nRF52840 supports external supply and has a limit of 25 mA(depending on TX power).

can we please also know what will be the output if we use normal voltage mode 

in high voltage mode it is configurable. what about normal voltage mode

and also plz let me know will the gpio be also on this level ?

Hi Zuhaib,

I doubt the MCU internal LDO & DC/DC buck regulator is designed to drive external peripherals.
I think it is for the MCU itself.  Althoug the nrf52833 has the DCC pin as output.
This also explain the absence of technical information about the max. current of the DCC pin in the documentation of the MCU.

The gpio pin max current is written in the nrf52833 documentation (see the Nordic infocenter)

i did not understand what do you mean by state of the regulator 

if i am supplying vddh with 3.7-4.2 volt battery and set the output level to 2.3vdd 

gpio level also be the 2.3vdd right?

my 2.3 volt wont stable?

To be precise, in High Voltage Mode, VDD will be equal to the output of REG0. The ouput of REG0 can be adjusted by writing to the REGOUT0 register in the UICR. If you set the output of REG0 to 2V4 then VDD will also be 2V4 and so will the GPIO high voltage.

I was referring to the REG1 regulator.
