Battery Service doesn't provide read feature

Hi,

it seems that the default implementation of the ble_bas (battery service) provides the notification feature but not the "read" feature. I client can enable notification to receive the battery level but can't send a read command to get battery level (with notification disabled). Is it true or I have lost something ?

It absolutely supports the read feature, it only optionally supports notification. The readability is right there in the code

char_md.char_props.notify = (p_bas->is_notification_supported) ? 1 : 0;
