advertising LED on nrf52840 dk

Hello, I plugged in the nRF52840 dk and LED1 fades in and out. It does not blink. I am unable to connect to my phone. I tried to drag and drop some hex files to the JLINK folder and received the following error: The currently active SWD interface does not support MSD drag and drop. I downloaded nrf connect SDK and tried to select device. I received the following error message: Error while setting up device 001050278682: Error: Opening COM6: Access denied.

I think I need to reflash the board, but I am unable to do so. Please help.

Which version of the nRF52840DK do you have?

Hi Sigurd, thank you for the quick reply. I do not have any code running on the nRF52840 DK. It is brand new and I just plugged it in. However, LED1 will fade in and out. It does not blink so I assume that means that it is not advertising. It does not show up as a connectible device. How do I put the dev kit into advertising mode?

The nRF52840DK is preloaded with the Preflash example.
This example does not do Bluetooth Low Energy.

If you need a Bluetooth Low Energy sample running on your Developement Kit, you need to program it yourself.
