Connect Thingy53 to VS Code

Hello,

I received the Thingy53 as part of the Hackster IO contest. Right now I am having problems to flash it through the VS Code. My VS Code instance is unable to detect the hardware, is there a troubleshoot guide to try fixing this detection problem?

I am able to conenct the board to the phone app and test the ML example. I see the board serial port in hardware administrator and the nrf Programmer app detects the board (MCUBoot and Application). I am able to use the Programmer to program an example firmware zip file...

I am not sure what to try next. If you could provide some guide it would be much appreciated.
