issue about use CMW500 to test NRF51822

Dear Nordic Engineers

I have a problem and would like to ask you.

Our customer's product used nrf51822. They use DTM of nrf5_sdk 12.3 SDK to build and download their to board.

And then they would like to use the CMW500 to test NRF51822. They connect UART to CMW500 and set the Baud rate of CMW500 to 19200.
But they find the CMW500 can't send HCI command and DUT does not enter the test mode. They use NRFgo and NRF CONNECT desktop test it,it's normal.

So what should we do about this problem?

Please give me some good suggestions.

You must use 2-wire UART, the nRF51 DTM doesn't support HCU directly.

Yes, we use 2-wire UART connect UART turn USB tool(CP2102). Then we connect it to the PC and CMW500 USB port.

The PC can use NRFgo or NRF CONNECT DESK to control.​ But we use CMW500, it can't control and test the device.

It shows DTM program support using MT8852B to test. I think it can support CMW500.
So, did you mean it did not support CMW500 to test?

There are two ways to use DTM. The first is 2-wire UART, which is supported, the other is HCI, which is not supported. You need to setup the CMW500 to use the first. 

The DTM on the nRF51 doesn't accept HCI commands.
