Hello, I received a reminder to aswer to the Nordic Semiconductor Customer Satisfaction Survey. Unfortunatelly, I can not reply, because there are questions I simply can not answer to. For example: "How satisfied are you with Nordic’s sales representative in these 3 areas?". I'm a software developer and and as such I'm not in contact with any sales representative.
But I think it's fair to give a feedback to the technical support that I've received from the nordic support and through this forum:
I would love to see that the nrf51 reference manual describes the functionality of the device in more detail and with more accuracy. I know that adding to much details leaves only little opportunity to make changes later. But writing software for an only „little“ known device is hard or impossible. Adding more redundancy to a documentation makes maintenance the document harder. But the usual use case for a reference manual is, to seek for the solution of a specific task. And here, adding references from one section to the other might help to find all the details needed to complete a software developers task.
But when I compare the nrf51 reference manual to the reference manuals of other manufactures, the nrf51 reference manual is much better.
And it’s the same with the Nordic technical support. It’s fast, accurate and most of the time Nordic employees show interest in the topics that are discussed in the forums. Thumbs up and thank you very much! :-)
Cheers Torsten
