Flash size and layout

We are writing a custom flash loader and I am not sure about the size of the flash and the address.

In the datasheet it says the device has 192kb of flash.
But there are 48 pages shown with each of 4096 bytes.   Thats 196608 bytes !

In the jFlash programmer they have documented 192kb + 4kb of flash.

So what is special with this last flash page ?

Can you please help to clarify.

Hi Chris,

You are right that all flash pages are 4 kB (which is 4 * 1024 bytes). And 48 * 1024 = 196608. And moreover, 196608 B / 1024 = 192 kB, so the math adds up.

thank you !   That all makes sense.
But why is Segger documenting 192kb + 4kb ?
Is the last page some kind of special ?

Hi Chris,

In addition to the "normal" flash there is also the UICR, which is a flash page.
