Any way to determine transmit power on nRF9160

Since the 9160 will vary his transmit power based on signal strength, is there any way of determining what power is being used for a given transmission? I know that the max is 23dB, but that doesn't mean that all transmissions are done at that level. The radio will throttle the power based on what it needs at the time, correct? So is there any way of determining what that power level is? For the modem section of the spec there are no registers listed. I have a batch of devices built up with varying battery life. If the primary consumer of power is the radio, then it would stand to reason that the differences are a function of either the transmit power used, or the length of the transmission. I know that I'm unable to limit or control the transmit power, but is there any way that I can at least read what it has been set to? This could indicate possible issues with reception or antenna connection, etc.
