PPK2 cannot be reprogrammed

I've got a PPK2 kit which I am using for quite some time now.

Today I upgraded nRF Connect Desktop and the Power Profiler App which gave me the following versions:

nRF for Desktop v3.12.0

Power Profiler App v3.4.4

PPK II Hardware: PCA63100, 1.0.1, 2020.46, F09FA75B

Now when I'm starting the Power Profiler App, I'm asked to upgrade the firmware but when I click "Yes" then an error occurs: "Failed to write to the target device. Program operation not supported" in the log. The following screenshot shows the message in the background.

I already tried this:

 RE: PPK2 not turning on 

But the result is always the same. Tied this on Linux and Windows: same result.

Ok, I managed to resolve the problem like this (just documenting the fix in case someone else stumbles upon this same problem):

* I downloaded https://github.com/NordicSemiconductor/pc-nrfconnect-ppk/blob/main/firmware/pca63100_ppk2_5e7cc60.hex

* I followed the instructions in  RE: PPK2 not turning on to put the PPK2 in bootloader mode.

* I opened the Programmer App in nRF Connect Desktop, selected the PPK2 device and added the firmware file there.

* I used the Programmer to flash ("Write") the firmware.

* I returned to the Power Profiler App there, selected the device and everything works fine now.
