Custom UART Bootloader for nRF52805

I am using s112_nrf52_7.2.0_softdevice with nRF5_SDK_17.1.0 and Segger Embedded studio for nRF52805. 

My application code uses 150 kb Flash(Out 192 kb). I want to develop a custom Bootloader for nRF52805 so that  Host Microcontroller can update its firmware using UART(Rx ,Tx Pin) interface.

Means host microcontroller have bin/hex file and will send ,that hex file data into packet format (in some protocol or integrity checking mechanism) to nrf52805 for firmware upgradation without any security.

Kindly help me out with necessary steps to be done for developing custom UART bootloader and example if any.

Hi Suresh, 
I have developed an example to update a nRF52 from a nRF52 here. I think you can refer to the code to develop your own application running on your host controller to do the update. 
The security part is still included , you may consider to remove that from the bootloader with your own risk that anyone can update your device with their own application.

Actually, I'm running out of memory space, In my case nrf52805 and Host Microcontroller is on same PCB. so, I want communication to be very simple  in between Host and nrf52805 that consume less memory footprint.

Form your link as I understood, "UART DFU Master code" will be implemented in Host Microcontroller and "bootloader_secure_SPIS" in nrf52805 side. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Hi Suresh, 

Yes correct. The example require the bootloader to be flashed on the nRF52805. You can also find the example for UART in addition to SPI.

I'm using Segger Embedded Studio for development and link shared by you was developed in keil uV, so is there any setting will be required in case of porting to Segger Embedded Studio ?.

The example is pretty simple. I think you can simply use the main.c file and make a new project in Segger Embedded Studio to use it.
