nRF52832 - DFU Characteristics not found & Stuck on Connecting, Starting DFU

Hi - I am using nRF5 SDK v17.1.0 and Segger Embedded Studio v6.34a. I am testing the ble_app_buttonless_dfu for pca10040_s132.

I am compiling ble_app_buttonless_dfu_pca10040_s132 and secure_bootloader_ble_s132_pca10040 and when trying to update the App Fw using the nRF DFU Android Application, the following is happening. The process gets stuck on Connecting, Starting DFU (repeatedly) until I get the error DFU CHARACTERISTICS NOT FOUND.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

Hi,

We recommend using same the Segger embedded studio version as listed in the SDK release notes. It's a known issue that our bootloader is not compatible with the latest versions of GCC.

Also, as you have noticed already, the SDK code is not compatible with the Segger runtime library. The legacy library which is supported in our SDK was removed in SES v.6.20.
