nrf52832 chip antenna

Hi,

I have seen a number of nRF51822 using chip antennas through a 2450BM14E003. An example is this circuit with the pins connected as follows: ANT2 -> BAL1, ANT1 -> BAL2 and VDD_PA -> DC.

Is it possible to use a similar circuit for the nRF52832? And if so, I can only see a single ANT pin, unlike the nRF51822, which seems to have ANT1, ANT2 and VDD_PA pins.

How do I proceed putting a chip antenna to the following circuit:

EDIT 2016.04.04: Updated links.

The radio on the nRF52 has been redesigned. It is now single-ended with an on-chip balun and hence, it is no longer necessary with an external third party balun. We do recommend though, to use an external matching network before the chip antenna. Have a look at the nWP017 Antenna tuning whitepaper, Chapter 4.2 and 8.1 for details.

Note that Figure 1 in the chapter "2.4 GHz Radio (RADIO)" in the nRF52 Product Specification might be slightly misleading as it refers to ANT1 and ANT2. It is reported to the technical writers and will be altered.

Also, if you haven't already, have a look at the nRF52 reference layouts for guidance on schematics and PCB designs.
