Zephyr MCUboot compilation errors

Hi,

I am working with NCS 2.0.2, nRF52833 custom board, Visual Studio Code for nRF. The project works ok and is compiled ok in a non MCUboot version. When trying to add MCUboot by adding CONFIG_BOOTLOADER_MCUBOOT=y to project conf file and adding child_image dir with a standrd mcuboot.conf file I am getting several errors - missing header files that are of course present as the non-MCUboot version gets compiled correctly. These are files from nanopb lib: pb.h, pb_encode.h, pb_decode.h and also generated file syscalls/wpc.h (wpc is  custom driver).

I tried to search forum and other sources but havent found any useful hint. My guess is that I will probably need to modify the main CMakeLists.txt file.

Can somebody advise me what to change in the project? Any hint?

A fast response is appreciated.

Thanx.

Best regards,

peter

  • Hi Peter,

There have been issues with the integration of nanopb into the NCS toolchain (I wasn't even able to build the nanopb sample), and while these were under investigation, this case has been lying by the wayside. Sorry for not keeping you updated about that.

A fix for these issues has not reached production yet. Have you found a workaround for your case in the mean time, or are you still facing issues?

Best regards and have a nice remaining 2022.
