5340 uart power high

Hi,

   I am using 5340 but it's uart consumes a lot of power 2.01mA

SDK: NCS2.1.0

project: peripheral_uart

I have disabled all other peripheral equipment,put all gpio to low , adv interval changed to 1000ms, power is 0dbm.Personally I think it's power cost is abnormal.

The attachment is my project, can you give me some advice? Thank you.

Hello,

Not tested your project, but a power consumption of ~2mA sounds reasonable right if the UART driver is continously ready to receive data on RXD pin.

You will need to duty cycle the UART driver by for instance using some kind of handshaking signal to reduce current consumption. An example of low power uart implementation is found in:

While the RDY line is high the UART RXD will be disabled, for more information see the above documentation.

I have used nsc1.8.0 peripheral_uart before, It's about 719uA.
