Receiver gain of smartphones

Hi,

We are currently developing the nRF52833 (peripheral) with ncs v2.0.0. We would like to calculate the link budget of our system when different smartphones are used as the central device. Does anyone know if it is possible to see what the receiver gain is for smartphones like the iPhone, Samsung, Google Pixel etc? Knowing the receiver gain of the smartphones will help us understand how signal strength will change when different smartphone models are used as the central when connected to the nRF52833 (peripheral).

I'm afraid that it will be next impossible to get this info. The best you could do, is to evaluate the gain (RSSI) in a controlled setup. But that will require access to a lot of phones and an anechoic chamber or an area with little reflections.
