Custom board nrf52811

Hi, 

I have a BLE-project running on the nRF52840 DK. Now I made my own custom board with the nrf52811 and want to program it with the DK. 

I did read I have to change some settings to program it on the nrf52811 on Nordic Semiconductor Infocenter. Do I have to use the folder of pca10056e? I do only see a folder of s112 inside. But I was using s140. Does this make any difference?

Can someone help me out? it is my first time doing this.

Yes, it's much easier to start with a PCA10056e project and then add the code into that project since it's already configured for the nRF52811.

The S112 is the Softdevice that we recommend using for nRF52811. It should be ok as long as you're using features that is supported by S112.

The code worked fine for the DK, but I have some issues on the custom board. So you refer to start a new project and put the code inside?

Yes, that would probably be the easiest approach.

I tried the basic ble_app_uart, programming goes fine but it doesn't work right the connection LED stays on instead of blinking. Do you know why this is?

Blinky does work fine.

Hi,

LED1 in ble_app_uart will only blink during advertising, once it has connected it will stop blinking. Have you checked the log whether a CONNECTED event has been generated?
