Thingy:53 - Updating through external Debug Probe question?

The docs recommend the nRF5340 DK connected as described with a 10-pin 2x5 socket-socket 1.27 mm IDC (Serial Wire Debug (SWD)) JTAG cable.

Is it possible to use my nRF9160 DK? I will get a 10 pin JTAG cable if possible. I do not own a nRF5340 DK!

Unfortunately, nRF9160 cannot program thingy53, but you can use the debug board that comes with the thingy53.

OK but how do I use it? Just plugging it in does not work? nRFProgrammer and VS-code both do not Flash when it is pluged in. I have another case open with you on this
